Ahmad Latif Ali, the Consul General of Iraq in Isfahan, visited the Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) and The Regional Center for Technology Incubator and Science Park Development (IRIS).
During the visit, he became familiar with the knowledge-based and technology companies settled in ISTT.
Seyed Mehdi Abtahi, the President of ISTT, mentioned that ISTT aims to increase the community’s wealth through the promotion of innovation culture with the help of knowledge-based and technology companies. He added that ISTT is the largest hub of knowledge-based and technology companies in the country which hosts around 760 k-based and tech companies, creating employment for about 10,000 university graduates.
Ahmad Latif Ali, the Consul General of Iraq in Isfahan, also emphasized the vast potential of the Isfahan Science and Technology Town, stating: “Visiting ISTT and IRIS allowed us to discover new opportunities for cooperation. We will introduce these capabilities to the relevant ministries in Iraq for practical actions, and we hope to implement them in the near future”. He also noted: “In addition to the ministries, we will present these existing capacities to every Iraqi official who visits Isfahan, to strengthen mutual cooperation.” The Consul General also visited several knowledge-based and technology companies located in ISTT. They are going to establish connections with their Iraqi partners through consulate of Iraq in Isfahan.
The Iraqi team also welcomes provision of IRIS services to their country.
